As children we had to go to Sunday school. We were given the choice of Welsh Chapel or Salvation Army. We chose the Salvation Army simply because they gave us a good time, parties, outings and fun and games. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Salvation Army and we regularly went to Sunday school.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been "SAVED" in my younger days and I was seriously thinking of saving up to buy myself a bonnet to wear but never made it. I had very little pocket money given me, a half penny every week and we thought we were being spoiled.
