In 1916 the Cambrian Group
of Rhondda Collieries controlled nearly 5
million tons out of the total output of the
Rhondda coalfield of 7,597,106 tons [about
66%]. The output of the Cambrian Combine as
a whole in South Wales amounted to no less
than 7,355,00 tons.
